Swann, Luck extend Warriors contracts

July 19, 2007 - 1:35PM

Forwards Logan Swann and Micheal Luck have both extended their NRL contracts with the NZ Warriors.

Swann, who returned this year after three seasons in the English Super League, has signed another one-year deal taking him through to the end of the Warriors' 2008 NRL campaign.

Luck is staying in Auckland until the end of the 2010 season after extending his original three-year contract by a further two years.

Swann played 146 times for the Vodafone Warriors from 1997-2003 before spending a season with Bradford Bulls and two with the Warrington Wolves in England.

A 28-test former Kiwi international, he has appeared in all but one of the Vodafone Warriors' 17 matches so far this season.

Luck has been ever-present since his club debut last year, stretching his run to 41 consecutive appearances in last Sunday's 44-16 win against the Dragons.

He is also one of only two players who have made 600-plus tackles in the NRL so far this year.

Two good re-signings for the Warriors, both good strong players who are consistently giving 100% and who will continue to serve the Warriors well for the years to come.. :)

Warriors are shaping up very nicely for next season indeed.
