Hull and Warrington have recruited well,Leeds and Saints are happy with what they have, and who can blame them.
Castleford look to be in for a long hard season along with Les Catalans. My boys look as if they are doing their best to finish last next season, shocking signings really :(

27 players from Australia joining up and 7 players from the SL, coming to our shores.

Its a disgrace, i hate players after the big bucks, fair enough players liek cuscak that have played for years and are now just topping up their retirement, but matt king was on massive money at melbourne and has plenty of years in front of him and would have been on good money at any nrl club and yet it wasn't enough, i don't know about you but if i was playing rugby league id be happy to be earning 80 +, i think if a family of four can afford to survive on 40-60 thousand, a bachelor footballer/room mate footballers (or ones still at home) can survive on a good 100,000.

Bring back the loyalty and the passion in our players and get them off the money trail.

Thats why i Lance Thompson was my hero, taking pay cuts to keep playing at the saints, before the big drama.

Danny Ward goes alright on his day, and Howell could be a good signing for you Quins.

Regarding Matty King, i was surprised he moved over to the UK, almost certainly lost his NSW place and maybe even Australian place now. Its sad if he has given that up for money but maybe he just wants to experience England and have a new challenge.

Danny Wards alright in a good team, which he wont have around him at Quins,no disrespect to HKR,but them showing him the door tells you a bit about how far he has gone down in the last couple of seasons.Cant recall Howells, but the comments on Canberra forum dont fill me with confidence, but will see how they go!
With regards comments about players being greedy going to England, fair enough, but its a short career, the average first grade NRL career is just over 4 years, and how many of us in our jobs wouldnt take up or consider seriously a lucrative offer for a couple of years. And loyalty is a 2-way thing, how many clubs show players the door when it suits, contracts usually aint worth the paper they are printed on!Just wish Matty King had come to Quins like his brother Andrew before him.:(

Yeah the average career is probably about 5 years, then u have players like chris walker that seem to never disappear :p

I don't think you can really compare us taking up a better offer as opposed to a footballer taking a better offer in a) they are allready on more money than they are actually worth in the grand scheme of life b) just chasing more of it is just plain greedy, c) if we went and chased a lucrative offer for a couple of years, how many of us would be able to get our job back after that contract was up, now having said that i'm positive not all players are going to england for money and some is for the money to help their family etc etc which i fully understand.

And i agree some of the clubs are just as bad, thats starting to upset me as well but i don't blame the clubs when you have players like Mason making the rules for themselves. I think if you stick to ur club the club will reward you as best as possible (of course petro's case is a poor example) but Hayne i think will go a long way at the eels because he has rejected souths offer.
