View Full Version : Marsh to serve ban in pre-season

Parramatta forward PJ Marsh will not miss any NRL competition matches despite being suspended for two games.
Marsh entered an early guilty plea after being charged with making a dangerous throw on North Queensland's David Faiumu during the Eels' shock 29-0 preliminary final loss at Telstra Stadium on Sunday.
However an NRL spokeswoman confirmed the suspension could be served during official NRL trial matches in the pre-season and Parramatta said he would not miss any competition matches.
How does he be allowed to serve his games in the preseason. why not Fui Fui or Carl webb aswell. very disappointed

Yep if one player can do it, all should be able to, maybe Fuifui and Webb will try and do the same?
This would have to be unprecident,if it is it will cause a bit of a stir among players late in the season. If he does the crime he should do the time, missing a few pre-season games, what a joke!
This is an absolute joke!!
Suspensions should be only be counted for games that are official competitions for that club. By that I mean the Telstra premiership.

I thought that was the rule
Me too!! I dont even think comp suspensions should count for international games. Unless it is of a violent nature eg Williams king hit.

Theres often loopholes, one roosters player , cant remember who it was, Finch or Cross maybe - Well they got off his one match suspension, by acting like he would have played in the city country match, and that served as the match he missed, so therefore he got to play in the next normal club match. It wasn't even guarenteed he was playing in it anyways.
