I'm in another Sportal Dream Team Competition. The only problem with it is that two sides can have the same players playing for them. Two years ago I was in a competition called Virtual NRL by a mob called creatop and you had to build you squad with players that no other team had. So rather than everyone having players from the top 30 NRL players, you had to look at every player in every side, work out who the coaches favourites were etc. The best thing was that it rewarded workhorse players by awarding tries to players who had a combination of 40 tackles + hitups. It was far superior to Sportal's version but due to a lack of corporate funding, it fell in a hole. There may be an opportunity there for the Titans to pick up the ball on this one - it certainly has a truckload of support and draws unbelievable interest for the game of Rugby League for everyone who participates. If the Titans were to pick this up I am sure they would gain supporters because of it.

Ill have to wait until next season as well. Any of you play that Virtualnrl at all
? Used to love that set-up. Whats the difference with this Sportal one. Im assuming with this one every entrant gets to pick players from the entire leage roster, yet with Virtualnrl, if someone else picked a player he was off the market as far as your own selections were concerned. In virtualnrl you also got what was called 'Forward tries' as well, where if a forward made a certain amount of hit-ups/tackles he'd earn your team 4 points. Sincerely hope the NRL will get behind both versions of fantasy competition in the future.

Virtual NRL rocked. The only problem was that the "fairness" is limited to your own competition because when you try to match up your scores from your limited options of players to those in other competitions you don't really have fair chance of competing as they may have had a free for all picking their players and got whoever they wanted. Sportal Dreamteam has the edge in the global competition sense but the but VNRL was better with the forward tries and the exclusiveness of the players in your team compared to your opponents in your competitions. It would be great if the Titans could add some backing to the VNRL to get it going again next season.

Agreed... I mean. We're a "Golden Boy" in the eyes of the NRL. As a club we've had no salary cap breeches. No players have been linked with alcohol related chaos and mayhem, no ones even been charged by the tribunal. Surely with such a clean record the NRL would have little choice but to hear our plea for the rebirth of VNRL.
