In American sports they have an all-star game. I am proposing that there should be an annual NRL vs Super League match, where hopefully there would be different selectors than other rep matches, picking players for form and play through the season rather than 'rep experience'.

The cream of NRL versus the Super League Dream Team.
Whaddya think?

umm this idea has already been thought up. What do you think the World Club Challenge is?

The GF winning NRL team vs the GF winning super league team.

I brought this idea up in the Sportal forums, and most people replied saying things like "The Nrl is way tougher than the SL" and "It would be a mismatch". I disagree with them. There is alot of skill in the Super League, especially the Australians playing over there at the moment (Jamie Lyon, Chris Mckenna, Darren Albert, Adrian Lam). I think that this would be a much better concept than the World Club Challenge, because I believe that the WCC is a joke. An all-star game would be the equivalent of the ICC Super Series about to take place in Cricket. It would be awesome!!!

Yea, but World Club challenge isn't neccessarily include the best players .... like the Cowboys or Tigers will be in this challenge ... and in a lot of positions in these teams you could think of better players to represent australia. But I know what you mean?

But I thought that was kind of like Tri Nations .... Aus vs England???
Otherwise ... can you explain it further :p coz it could be interesting

Adrian Lam's been retired for a few years now. And there are much better Aussies running around over there than McKenna and Albert.

Another game for the players, unlikely to happen, though I like the idea.

If they were playing the game this year, who should be in the NRL All-Star team?

how bout if we have competitions with an australia and an australian a team (like cricket) we certainly have the talent, am i'd love to see an australian a team upstage a darren lockyer australian team :D

would never get scheduled but would be good to see some guys get a change to shine without being hidden behind some "bigger" name stars.
