As i said in another thread, when Billy Moore let out the Qlder cry in the tunnel, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
Queenslander was a cry that had been around for a long time before that. It was used when a team new they had to dig deep in defence or it was time to go for it in attack. It is what SOO is all about. No one held back to save them selves for the next weekends game. It was all or nothing.
Mate against Mate. They hate each other during that 80min period.

I agree.......But passion is something NSW has never had till recently......
Bring back Benny..he got the Qlders fired up..........he gets everyone fired up for that matter...............

Before SOO when Qld got smashed by there own players playing for NSW was the beginning, as when SOO came the passion of having an all Qld side would have been a big gee up and NSW wasn't expecting it. They only played one came a year if I remember, NSW has alway had passion just look at Benny Elias for example. It was only the first few games where I think the Blues thought it was all to easy, till it sunk in that they had a game on there hands .

Look back as much as you like, but the only way for QLD to move forward is to forget the past. Respect it but leave it at that. The past won't win the series this year or any year for that matter.
Players must have passion for the jumper they pull on. It has been "transferred" over the last few years to NSW, QLD must do everything they can to get it back.

More passion is something that is needed in the Queensland team. I can just imagine a player like Carl Webb walking down the players tunnel at Lang Park screaming "Queenslander" It would not only inspire the team but the crowd :clap:
