Over the past 2 years there has been some stand out players that havent played for their state yet but are on the verge of cracking it.
Out of the above who do you think is most likely to make their debut for SOOthis year? (you are able to pick more then 1)
I had Greg Inglis as a 'bolter' for Origin in the early rounds of the season - I think he is a certainty now for Queensland which is why I won't nominate him here.
I will nominate one player for each state;
QLD - Matthew Scott (Nth QLD): Suited for Origin, tough uncompromising player who is not haunted by the last three Origin series where we (QLD) have tasted defeat. I think it is time for some new blood, I would love to see him at Origin level at some stage this Origin series.
NSW - Lance Thompson (Cronulla): Thommo is in the best form of his career and a star performance this Friday vs Country I think will see him come in to contention on the bench for NSW which would not have been predicted at the start of the season. At 28, a young veteran, though he would revel in Origin football much like Billy Moore did in Origin.
BTW, I think Bell is a certainty too :D

Thom Learloyd-Lahrs- I'm allowed to have hope that 1 Raider will make it :)
Lance Thompson and Greg Inglis.
Id love to Shillington get a run, been a great worker for the Roosters so far!
Dallas Johnson, hard worker every week and deserves his chance.
Inglis and Bell for QLD
Thompson for the Blues

Matt Scott for sure deserves to be in the QLD side... and I am sure Inglis will be there.. :)
I would go with Lance Thompson and Robbie Farah for the Blues.
I reckon Steven Bell for QLD

Possibly RIP was referring to Matt Scott and Shane Tronc?
I think Presto and Inglis could be the bolters.

Inglis will be there for QLD unless the selectors do what they always do (screw up)
Thommo should be there, hes been amazing for the Sharks
Dean Widders could be there as an impact player off the bench

After tonights City vs Country match.. new bolters for the bench.. :)
- Andrew Ryan: He was the best on field tonight, and showed why he deserves a spot
- Paul Gallen: A workhorse, never gave up, never gave in and commitment to everything
- Dean Widders: A perfect bench player, could carve QLD up in the late halves
- Anthony LaFranchi- Super strong, very promising and good for NSW and GC.. :)
Selection headache for Monday for the NSW selectors... but a good one.. :D :D

After tonights game i agree with 311 Paul Gallen & Lafranchi deserve a shot but i'd have Kite picked in the run on squad he's having a great season & for QLD Ingliss & Bell will definatley be in the 13 players that run on the field.

I still think that despite the great performances by a couple of players in tonights game, those idiot selectors won't even give some of these blokes a chance.
Lafranchi and gallen should be their on form but they wont be. Lafranchi is alot better player than i thought he was, he was one of the best forwards on the padock last night and will be a future rep star
MY big bolter after last night - Paul Gallen. He been outstanding for the Sharkies, but last night he showed he was built for rep football, and geez he is a solid lad.
Yeah, Paul Gallen is definately a bolter for NSW. More than capable of handling the next step up to Origin.
