Gasnier fitness test delayed

A DECISION on New South Wales centre Mark Gasnier's fitness for the opening State Of Origin game with Queensland next Wednesday has been delayed until this afternoon.
Gasnier, who is undergoing treatment on an injured hip this morning, will have a fitness test at 3.00pm (AEST).
Penrith centre Luke Lewis remains on standby, but will be released to play for the Panthers in tomorrow night's game with Parramatta if Gasnier is passed fit.
The remainder of the squad is taking part in a visit to the Westmead Childrens's Hospital this morning ahead of a training session this afternoon.
