QUEENSLAND State of Origin centre Brent Tate has spent the night in a Sydney hospital after defeat against New South Wales at Telstra Stadium last night.
The Brisbane Broncos star was taken to hospital late last night after he began passing blood.
He was detained and underwent a series of tests before being released this morning.
Tate will get the test results today but could be in doubt for Brisbane's NRO round 12 game with the Bulldogs on Saturday.
The Broncos will also have to asses the fitness of skipper Darren Lockyer and centre Justin Hodges after the one-point loss last night.
Lockyer finished the game with sore ribs and had stitches in a cut eye while Hodges – Queensland's man-of-the-match – may have strained or torn a hamstring.
i thought he was going to fall over in those last 10min. he looked like crap

Tate should give up football IMO.
I think he is a good footballer, but at 23 or whatever he is to have so many injurys is alarming.
For an outside back to wear that dogcollar, is a major disadvantage for him also. Something goes above his head and he cant even look for it?

I dont think Tate should give it up, hes Injury prone yes, but I think he needs to take some good time off to fully recover (and not get rushed back in specially for big games like origin.) And when he returns, he should take a run in the clydies for a little bit to ease back in.
It'll take him a while, but I hink he still has some good footy in him.

He played well this weekend.
You guys are being way too harsh. At his best he's brilliant... he's coming back from injury, give him a chance to get back. shouldn't have been picked until game 2.
