Do you listen to Roy and HG?

Are you one of those who turns down the Ch 9 commentary and listens to Roy and HG on JJJ?

We did it last night, although because my mate had digital tv or for whatever reasons there was a 2 second delay in the television coverage to audio from JJJ.

So we heard the crowd roar before tries were scored, heard Roy and HG talk about big hits, dropped balls or line breaks before they happened.

It was pretty surreal, but they were quality.

I used to all the time, however when I got a digital tv I stopped mainly due to the fact that Channel 9 on digital is about 4 seconds behind. So Roy and HG would commentate ahead of the vision on the screen which gets quite annoying.

The main downside to listening to channel nine's coverage is Phil Gould, if he wasnt there than I wouldnt dislike listening to their coverage.

I listened to ch 9. Never been a fan of watching tv but listening on radio.

I listen to Channel 9... use to do that with 2GB and Triple J... but it is too time consuming now... and the delay is annoying sometimes... :(

That's a shame about the delay, seems it is ruining it for a lot of people.

And the annoying bit about it is the fact that Channel Nine seems to have the longest "digital delay" with other channels having only a slight delay.....bit off topic but anyways :)

Why is there a delay anyway, is it because of the set top box. It's suppose to be the next big thing for telly but it suck when ya got the tv on downstairs and the one on in the bedroom and you here the one in the bedroom before the one in the lounge

Its because it takes longer to process and send out the digital signal, but channel nine are way too slow.

It's not just Gus, Ray Warren is the most biased caller in the world. If you don't barrack for the team he likes he is unwatchable - Gus is crap too though, especially in Origin. Got to like Ben Ikin. I used to listen to JJJ but would prefer to listen to 2GB except for the delay that happens. Roy and HG call from the television as far as I can recall - maybe they should get Digital :chef:

Just listening to Ch9...Gus is threatening to jump out of the commentary box over a video ref call...Ray Warren reckons the video ref has it in for Gus,because his "has'nt exactly befriended anyone" That is ridiculously comical..it's actually fun listening to them sound so bad :satan: keep it up guys! ....these guys are clowns ;) :lol!:
