I want to try and keep discussion about tonights game in the SOO thread above....I just want to get everyone's opinion on Wing and not just in tonights game im talking about in genreal. IMO he is long past his best he doesnt offer that spark off the bench anymore and it seems everyone else has gotten better and he has stood still over the years.

Whats you thoughts?

IMO and its bias but Young would be the better choice as he can play alot more positions and is in the better from ATM

I think that Wing didn't play anywhere near his best... HERE IS THE REASON.. ;)

DON'T PICK ROOSTERS PLAYERS.. they are playing badly at Club level and are playing badly at State of Origin Level.... no more picking them for game 3 and we can do well... :D :D

I think that Wingy played well compared to both his team mates n the nsw side (Finch and Anasta) and that he is still playing well at this level of the game. I think it wouldn't make much of a difference if he were dropped to give Young (Dragins) a go and see how he goes but Wing plays well...

there are other players who will make more of an impact. If Gower is picked Preston Campbell could be an option but I would prefer a forward. A Joel Clinton type who just runs the ball up hard and fast and hits hard in defence.

Yeah graig wing is a not to bad player. I don;t think he went well in origin 2. But then again i don;t think any NSW player did...

Definitely spark missing from Wing's game and the selectors have it right dropping him. The Roosters should bite the bullet and move him to 1/2 or 5/8 and Anasta into the pack. I reckon the grind of playing in the forwards is wearing him down. Keep him close to the action but move him into the backline wear he can use his change of pace good short kicking game and vision to create something for the Rooster outside backs.
